Adaptation after replacing instrument cluster and the Engine Control Module (ECM): Procedure:

- Input VIN in instrument cluster (only possible with VAS 5051 tester).
- Perform adaptation after replacing Engine Control Module (ECM). See ADAPTATION AFTER REPLACING ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) .
- Perform adaptation of vehicle keys. See ADAPTATION OF VEHICLE KEYS .
CAUTION:
Entering VIN into the instrument cluster is only poss with the VAS 5051 tester.

- Press selection -1- of vehicle system "17 - instrument cluster"
- Wait until the next indication appears on display.

- Control module identification of the instrument cluster
- Control module identification of immobilizer
- Click on --> button

- Select diagnostic function "transfer VIN" in selection -1-.
- Enter the vehicle's VIN and confirm.
- Perform "Adaptation after replacing Engine Control Module (ECM)". See ADAPTATION AFTER REPLACING ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) .
- Adapt all vehicle keys. See ADAPTATION OF VEHICLE KEYS .
Instrument cluster, Engine Control Module (ECM) and vehicle keys are now adapted and the vehicle can be started.
