Rear lid contact switch, removing and installing: Removing

Remove tailgate lock.

See TAILGATE LOCK AND HANDLE MECHANISM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Disconnect harness connector.
Using a flat screwdriver, unlock plastic catch -3- at both expanding rivets -4- on removed tailgate lock -1-.
Press lever -2- in direction of arrow and fold plastic catch -3- toward rear.

Carefully remove contact switch -3- from tailgate lock -1-.
