Removal & Installation
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel.
- Remove nut (1) and remove washer. See Fig 1 . Remove nut (2), remove eccentric disc and eccentric bolt. Remove tie rod.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Always use NEW self-locking nuts. Cone at wheel bearing housing and taper of tie rod should be free of grease.
- Do not tighten nuts (1) and (2) until vehicle is standing on the ground. See Fig 1 . See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Check wheel alignment after servicing. See SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
NOTE:
Mark position of eccentric washer. Never turn eccentric bolt more than 90 degrees to left or right (i.e. min.-max. adjustment).
