Resetting SRI after service

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2003 Audi S8, 2003 Audi A8, 2002 Audi S8, 2002 Audi A8, and 2001 Audi S8. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

NOTE:
  • The Service Reminder Indicator (SRI) reminds the driver when service becomes necessary. Indicator is in center display.
  • Service reminder appears 1 month or 1200 miles before service limit is reached. At intervals of 100 miles. Example for display: After a total driving distance of 7000 miles, "SERVICE IN 1000 miles" is indicated.
  • The remaining distance to service can be checked via the menu in center display.
  • When a service event arrives, the text information appears in the center display for 5 seconds when ignition is switched on. It is shown after the note for automatic transmission and a target input for navigation (if applicable). Indicated: "SERVICE!."
  • The currently valid specifications can be found in the "Maintenance" Repair Manual.
  • Software version of instrument cluster. See ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD) OF INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, INITIATING  .

1 - means service is active, e.g. "SERVICE!" is being displayed in the instrument cluster.

NOTE: Only reset SRI via direct input.

Service event is reset via the following adaptation values:

0 - means service is reset, e.g. after confirming with the -Q- button, "SERVICE IN 8000 miles" is displayed in the instrument cluster.
