Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Place commercially available rubber spacer blocks, such as ROTFJ2427/J2440 or equivalent, on the (special tool #BX50-CHR, Table, Bishamon Lift) and position it under the powertrain and suspension crossmember assembly.

  2. Tighten the NEW  central bolts (1) securing the front suspension crossmember to the body, to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. 2. Tighten the NEW  rear bolts (2) securing the front suspension crossmember to the body, to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  4. 1. Tighten the NEW  front bolts (1) securing the front suspension crossmember to the body, to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  5. Install the NEW  bolts securing the transmission crossmember to the body and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  6. Remove the (special tool #BX50-CHR, Table, Bishamon Lift) complete with rubber spacer blocks such as ROTFJ2427/J2440 or equivalent supporting the powertrain assembly.

  7. Install the ground lead (1a) in position and securely tighten the nut (1b).

  8. Remove the hydraulic lift from underneath the rear differential.

  9. Install the battery supply wiring duct (1a) and securely tighten the bolts (1b).

  10. On both sides, install the radiator mounting brackets (1a) and securely tighten the bolts (1b).

  11. Connect the automatic transmission wire harness connectors (1).

  12. Secure the automatic transmission wire harness (1).

  13. Connect the steering box wire harness connectors (1).

  14. Install the intermediate shaft (1a) to the steering gear and tighten the NEW  bolt (1b) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  15. Connect the left front half shaft (1a) to the wheel hub, hold the wheel hub in place (1b) and tighten the NEW  nut (1c) securing the left front half shaft to the wheel hub to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  16. Using tool, (special tool #10287, Tool, Front Hub Staking) (1a), align the leading edge of tool with the channel on the axle. Tighten fastener on staking tool with hand tools until the threads bottom out completely.

  17. Connect the upper control arm (1a) to the steering knuckle (1b) and tighten the bolt (1c) to the proper torque specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  18. Install the new bolt securing the shock absorber to the lower control arm without tightening it.
  19. This bolt will be tightened to torque when checking the wheel positions.

  20. Install the brake caliper (1a) complete with brake fluid pipe and tighten the bolts (1b) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  21. Connect the brake pad wear sensor wire harness connector (2).

  22. Connect the sway bar link (1a) to the strut and tighten the new nut (1b) to the proper torque specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  23. Install the wheel speed sensor (1a) and tighten the bolt (1b) to the proper torque. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

  24. Place the wire harness bracket back in its housing (1a) and securely tighten the double shank screw (1b).
  25. Connect the ground lead and securely tighten the nut (2).

  26. Secure the wiring (1) for the wheel speed sensor in the brake line retaining bracket.
  27. Proceed in the same way for the right side.

  28. Connect the quick coupling for the front fuel delivery pipe and close the retaining clip (1).
  29. Connect the wire harness connector (2) for the fuel temperature-pressure sensor.
  30. Secure the front fuel supply pipe in the intermediate retaining clip (3).

  31. Connect the ignition system control unit wire harness connection (1).
  32. Connect the control module joint (2).

  33. Connect the quick connector (1) of the coolant outlet pipe from supercharger air cooling system radiator, radiator side.

  34. Connect the ground lead (1a) to the front right side panel and tighten the nut (1b).

  35. Connect the quick coupling (1) of the coolant supply pipe between the multi-way pipe and the engine coolant supplementary radiator, engine cooling system supplementary radiator coolant inlet/outlet tandem pipe side.

  36. Engage the power supply lead in the retaining clip (1).
  37. Connect the alternator and starter motor B+ lead (2a) and securely tighten the nut (2b).

  39. Connect the quick coupling (1) for the coolant pump inlet multi-way pipe to the pressure pump, on the pump side.

  40. Using a commercially available disconnect tool (1a), connect the transmission oil supply pipe (1b), engaging the clip (1c) of the connector.
  41. Repeat for the return pipe.

  42. Connect the wire harness connectors (1) of the air pressure/temperature sensors on the supercharging air-water heat exchangers.

  43. Connect the degassing multi-way pipe to the radiator of the supercharger air cooling system and secure the clamp (1).

  44. Connect the quick coupling (1) for the degassing multi-way pipe to the supercharger air cooling system supply reservoir.

  45. Replace the O-rings of the following connections.
    NOTE:

    Only use seal washers with an elastomeric part in HNBR, resistant to refrigerant R1234YF. The use of seal washers with another elastomeric material may increase the risk of serious leaks of refrigerant from the air conditioning system.

  46. Connect the pipe from the air conditioning compressor to the condenser (1a), condenser side, and tighten the fixing nut (1b) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  47. Engage the support bracket of the pipe from compressor to air conditioning condenser and securely tighten the bolt.

  48. Connect the pipe from the compressor to the expansion valve connector (1a), connector side, and tighten the nut (1b) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  49. Connect the quick coupling (1a) of the radiator coolant supply multi-way pipe (1b) to the supply pipe between the multi-way pipe and the additional engine coolant radiator.

  50. Connect the quick coupling (1) of the coolant supply pipe to the additional supercharger air cooling system pump to the triple pipe.
  51. Connect the quick coupling (2) of the coolant supply pipe to the additional supercharger air cooling system radiator from the triple pipe.

  52. Connect the quick connector (1) of the coolant inlet multi-way pipe to radiator, radiator side.

  61. Connect the degassing pipe (1) to the engine pressurized coolant bottle and engage it in the retaining clip.
  62. Install the cowl panel cover. Refer to COVER, COWL PANEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  63. Install the front fuel delivery line. Refer to LINES, FUEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  64. Install the left fuel vapor line between fuel vapor solenoid and the intake manifold. Refer to LINES, FUEL VAPOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  65. Install the right fuel vapor line between fuel vapor solenoid and the intake manifold. Refer to LINES, FUEL VAPOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  66. Install the front fuel vapor line. Refer to LINES, FUEL VAPOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  67. Install the drive shafts. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  68. Install the exhaust resonator. Refer to RESONATOR, EXHAUST, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  69. Install the radiator. Refer to RADIATOR, ENGINE COOLING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  70. Install the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
  71. Install the hood. Refer to HOOD, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  72. Connect the negative battery cable.
  73. Fill the turbocharger cooling system. Refer to COOLING/STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  74. Fill the engine cooling system. Refer to COOLING/STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  75. Evacuate and charge the A/C system. Refer to PLUMBING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  76. Bleed the brake system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
