Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the oil pan. Refer to PAN, OIL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Remove the oil pump pick up bolt (1).

  4. Remove the bracket bolt (1a) and the oil pump pick up (1b) complete with O-ring (1c).

INSTALLATION

  1. Using a NEW  O-ring (1b), install the oil pump pick up (1a) and tighten the bracket bolt (1c) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

  2. Install the oil pump pick up bolt (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Install the oil pan. Refer to PAN, OIL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
