Cylinder Head: Inspection

NOTE:

Typical Cylinder Head Shown In Illustration.

  1. Check the cylinder head for warping with a straight edge (2) and a feeler gauge (1).
  2. The cylinder head must be flat within specification. Refer to ENGINE - SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Remove any carbon or varnish deposits from inside of valve guides with a reliable guide cleaner.
