Headlamp Alignment Procedure
- Verify that the vehicle is equipped with the spare wheel tire, tools, full fluids, fuel reserve and with a driver on board.
- Verify that the tire inflation pressure is correct.
- Move the headlamp alignment to "0" position.
- Place the vehicle on a level surface, perpendicular to a screen with an opaque surface 10 meters away on which the following lines are traced.
- Line 1 V-V: vertical, corresponding to the line of the vehicle's plane of symmetry.
- Line 2 C-C: lines drawn through vertical planes passing through the front lamp unit reference centers.
- Line 3 HC-HC: horizontal, corresponding to the ground clearance of the front lamp unit reference centers.
- Line 4 AC-AC: horizontal below the HC-HC line by 10 cm.
- Line 5 Lines sloped by 15° as illustrated in the diagram.
- Remove the engine front side cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Turn on the headlamps.
- Vertical Alignment - Adjust the front lamp unit vertical adjustment screw until the horizontal section of the line between the dark zone and the area lit up by the light band is aligned with the line AC - AC traced on the screen.
- If necessary, remove the wheel house splash shield cover to gain access to the vertical adjustment screw.
- Horizontal Alignment - Adjust the front lamp unit horizontal adjustment screw until the point where the two horizontal and inclined lines cross with the point where lines C - C and AC - AC cross on the screen is aligned.
