DTC U0029: F-CAN Communication Line Error (Gauge Control Module with CAN gateway)

DTC (Gauge Control Module)

NOTE:  Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot, and review the general troubleshooting information - Refer to: How to Troubleshoot the Fuel and Emissions Systems (L4), or How to Troubleshoot the Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), or How to Troubleshoot the Brake Booster Pressure Monitoring System (With Auto Idle Stop System), or How to Troubleshoot the Fuel and Emissions Systems (V6, Without Auto Idle Stop System), or How to Troubleshoot the Fuel and Emissions Systems (V6, With Auto Idle Stop System) .

1. DTC check (CAN gateway system)

   -1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

   - 2. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

   - 3. Check for CAN gateway system DTCs with the HDS.

   DTC Description	DTC

   Are any DTCs indicated?

   YES 

   Go to the troubleshooting for CAN gateway system DTC (s) - Refer to: F-CAN Circuit Troubleshooting (L4), or F-CAN Circuit Troubleshooting (V6, Without SH-AWD and CAN gateway), or F-CAN Circuit Troubleshooting (V6, With SH-AWD, Without CAN gateway) .

   NO 

   Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
