- F-CAN circuit resistance check
- 1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
- 3. Disconnect the following connector.
PCM connector A (51P) - 4. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.

- Shorted wire check (F-CAN B_H line to F-CAN B_L line)
- 1. If not already done, disconnect the following connectors.

- Precision all wheel steer control unit check
- 1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connector.
Precision all wheel steer control unit A (16P) - 3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.
Does the HDS identify the vehicle?
YES
Replace the precision all wheel steer control unit .
NO
Reconnect the precision all wheel steer control unit connector A (16P) with vehicle in OFF (LOCK) mode, then go to step 39.
- SRS unit check
- 1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Perform the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure, and wait for at least 3 minutes.
- 3. Disconnect the following connector.
SRS unit connector A (39P) - 4. Perform the 12 volt battery terminal reconnection procedure.
- 5. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.
Does the HDS identify the vehicle?
YES
Replace the SRS unit - Refer to: SRS Unit Removal and Installation .
NO
- Substitute a known-good keyless access/TPMS control unit , then recheck. If the HDS identifies the vehicle and the keyless access/TPMS control unit was substituted, replace the original keyless access/TPMS control unit .
- Update the PCM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good PCM - Refer to: PCM Removal and Installation (Without SH-AWD) , then recheck. If the HDS identifies the vehicle and the PCM was updated, troubleshooting is complete. If the HDS identifies the vehicle and the PCM was substituted, replace the original PCM - Refer to: PCM Removal and Installation (Without SH-AWD) .
