DTC (VSA)

EPS system DTCs check

-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

-2. Check for EPS system DTCs with the HDS.

DTC (EPS)

Are any DTCs indicated?

YES

Go to indicated DTCs troubleshooting .

Go to step 2.

DTC check

-1. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

-2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

-3. Start the engine, then turn the steering wheel from lock to lock several times.

-4. Test-drive the vehicle at 31 mph (50 km/h) or more for 10 seconds or more.

NOTE: Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.

-5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC C0051-62 or C0051-96 indicated?

YES

Check for loose terminals and poor connections in the VSA modulator-control unit 46P connector. Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting. If they are OK, replace the VSA modulator-control unit .

YES

If DTC U0029-00 or U0126-00 are also indicated, go to DTC U0029-00 or U0126-00 .

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting .
