Audio System Symptom Troubleshooting - USB input sound is low or cannot be heard(With Navigation) (2013 2014 2015)

USB input sound is low or cannot be heard 

NOTE: 

• Check the vehicle battery condition first .
• Check the USB device's volume settings.
• Not all players and player functions work with the USB adapter. Please see the Owner's Manual for more information. Always test the client's USB device in a known-good vehicle of the same year and trim (if possible). Technologies change and are updated frequently which may result that USB devices may work in newer vehicles, but not in order vehicles of the same model.
• Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.

1. Determine possible failure area (USB system, others)

   -1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

   -2. Do the Self-Diagnostic Function, and use the speaker check mode .

   Do all speakers make a sound?

   YES 

   Go to step 2.

   NO 

   Go to No sound is heard from the speaker(s) (display is normal) (with navigation) troubleshooting .

2. Problem verification

   -1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

   -2. On the client's vehicle, connect the client's USB device to the USB port located in the center console.

   -3. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

   -4. Turn on the audio system, and press the HDD/AUX button to select the USB mode.

   -5. Check if the USB device can be operated with the audio-navigation unit (Folders or Files UP/DOWN, etc.).

   Can you operate the USB device, and is the sound normal?

   YES 

   Intermittent failure, the USB device is OK at this time.

   NO: You can select USB device but sound is low or cannot be heard

   The failure is duplicated, go to step 3.

   NO: USB device does not work

   Go to USB device does not function (with navigation) troubleshooting .

3. USB device check

   -1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

   -2. Connect the client's USB device to a known-good vehicle (same year/trim) that is equipped with a USB adapter, and check the USB device operation.

   Does the USB work properly in the known-good vehicle?

   YES 

   Replace the audio-navigation unit .

   NO 

   USB device is faulty or not compatible.
