Heated Steering Wheel Control Unit
NOTE:
- SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations , and precautions and procedures before doing repairs or servicing.
- Before testing, make sure the No. E27 (10 A) fuse in the passenger's under-dash fuse/relay box is OK.
- After testing, clear the SRS control unit DTCs.
1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
2. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure
3. Remove the steering wheel , and the steering wheel rear cover.
4. Install the steering wheel without the driver's airbag and the steering wheel rear cover.
5. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure
6. Turn the steering wheel at 180 deg.
7. Disconnect the heated steering wheel control unit 14P connector
8. Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact:
- If the terminals are bent, loose, or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
- If the terminals are OK, go to step 9.
9. With the connector still disconnected, do the following input tests:
- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, go to step 10.

10. Reconnect the connector, and do the following input tests:
- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, replace the heated steering wheel control unit .
