Trunk Side Trim Panel

NOTE:

Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim or the panels.
Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

Fold down the rear seat-backs.
Pull back the front area of the trunk floor (A), and detach the clips.

Remove the trunk floor (A).

Remove the trunk lid weatherstrip near the trunk rear trim panel (see TRUNK LID WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT ).
Detach the clips (A, B), and release the hooks (C) and the tabs (D) by pulling up the trunk rear trim panel (E), then remove the panel.

Remove the tool box spacer (A).

Detach the clips (A, B), and release each tie down hook (C) out through the hole in the trunk side trim panel (D). Pull the panel out from under the rear bulkhead cover (E) and the rear seat-back (F), then remove the trim panel.

Install the trim panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
