Brake Pedal Position Switch Test
- Disconnect the 4P connector (A) from the brake pedal position switch (B).

- Check for continuity between terminals No. 1 and No. 2.
- There should be no continuity when the brake pedal is released.
- There should be continuity when the brake pedal is pressed.
- Check for continuity between terminals No. 3 and No. 4.
- There should be continuity when the brake pedal is released.
- There should be no continuity when the brake pedal is pressed.
- If the test results are not as specified, do the Brake Pedal and Brake Pedal Position Switch Adjustment (see
BRAKE PEDAL AND BRAKE PEDAL POSITION SWITCH ADJUSTMENT
), then recheck. If the results are still not as specified, replace the switch (see
BRAKE PEDAL REPLACEMENT
).
