DTC U0155: Lost Communication With the Gauge Control Module
- Clear the DTCs with the HDS (see HOW TO RETRIEVE DTCS ).
- Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode, then wait for 10 seconds.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS (see HOW TO RETRIEVE DTCS
).
Is DTC U0155 indicated?
YES -Go to step 4.
NO -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
- Check for any DTCs with the HDS.
Are there any other gauge control module DTCs indicated?
YES -Troubleshoot the indicated gauge control module DTC(s). After troubleshooting, clear the DTC.
NO -Go to step 5.
- Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
- Disconnect the BSI control unit 16P connector.
- Disconnect gauge control module connector A (32P).
- Check for continuity between gauge control module connector A (32P) terminal No. 30 and BSI control unit 16P connector terminal No. 6, and between gauge control module connector A (32P) terminal No. 29 and BSI control unit 16P connector terminal No 5.Fig 1: Checking Continuity Between Gauge Control Module Connector A (32P) Terminal No. 30 And BSI Control Unit 16P Connector Terminal No. 6

Is there continuity?
YES -Replace the BSI control unit (see BSI CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
NO -Repair an open in the wire between the gauge control module and the BSI control unit.
