Aspirator Fan Circuit Troubleshooting
- Check the No. 30 (7.5 A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box.
Is the fuse OK?
YES -Go to step 2.
NO -Replace the fuse, and recheck. If the fuse blows again, check for a short in the No. 30 (7.5 A) fuse circuit.
- Disconnect the in-car temperature sensor 4P connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Measure the voltage between in-car temperature sensor 4P connector terminal No. 1 and body ground.Fig 1: Measuring Voltage Between In-Car Temperature Sensor 4P Connector Terminal No. 1 And Body Ground

Is there battery voltage?
YES -Go to step 5.
NO -Repair an open in the wire between the No. 30 (7.5 A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box and the aspirator fan.
- Reconnect the in-car temperature sensor 4P connector.
- Connect in-car temperature sensor 4P connector terminal No. 4 to body ground with a jumper wire.Fig 2: Connecting In-Car Temperature Sensor 4P Connector Terminal No. 4 To Body Ground With Jumper Wire

Does the aspirator fan run?
YES -Check for an open in the wire between the aspirator fan and body ground. If the wire is OK, check for poor ground at G501 (see DASHBOARD WIRE HARNESS (LEFT BRANCH) ).
NO -Replace the aspirator fan (see IN-CAR TEMPERATURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT ).
