Glove Box Removal/Installation

SRS components are located in this area Review the SRS component locations (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ) and the precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES ) before doing repairs or service
NOTE:
- Take care not to scratch the dashboard and its related parts
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components
- Open the glove box
- Open the front door, and remove the passenger's dashboard side lid (A)
- Gently pull the rear edge of the lid outward by hand to release the hooks (B)
- Detach the clips and the hooks (C) by pulling the lid outward
- Release the hooks (D, E)
- Remove the passenger's dashboard trim (see PASSENGER'S DASHBOARD TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Close the glove box
- Remove the bolts (A) and the screws (B)
- Pull the glove box (A) by hand to detach the clips, disconnect the glove box light connector (B) and the trunk lid opener main switch connector (C), then remove the glove box
- Install the glove box in the reverse order of removal, and note these items
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Make sure each connector is plugged in properly
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely
