Driver's 8-Way Power Seat/Passenger's 4-Way Power Seat

NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands.

Remove the front seat (see FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
Remove the seat-back cover/pad from the seat-back frame (see FRONT SEAT COVER REPLACEMENT ).
Remove the recline motor (A).
1. Release the push nut (B) from the motor side end of the connecting rod (C).
2. Gently tap on the motor side of the connecting rod to remove it from the recline motor and both recline adjusters (D).
3. Remove the rod cover (E).
4. Remove the bolt and clamp (F), then remove the recline motor.

Install the motor in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Replace the push nut with a new one. Make sure the push nut is installed correctly.
- Apply medium strength type liquid thread lock to the motor mounting bolt before reinstallation.
