Major Adjustment (3.2CL A/T & 3.2TL)
- Raise and support rear of vehicle. Release parking brake. Loosen adjusting nut "A". See Fig 1
. Remove rear wheels.
- Remove access plug "A". See Figure
. Turn brake shoe adjuster "B" with a flat-blade screwdriver "C" until shoes lock, then back of 8-10 stops. Repeat this adjustment on other side of vehicle.
- Check number of clicks required to fully lock parking brake. See PARKING BRAKE ADJUSTMENT CHECK
table under CHECK (EXCEPT 3.2CL M/T). If parking brake does not lock within specified number of clicks, perform MINOR ADJUSTMENT (3.2CL A/T & 3.2TL)
. Reinstall rear wheels.
