Resistance Test
Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove speedometer from instrument cluster. Using an ohmmeter set to the 1000-ohm scale, measure resistance of tachometer. See Fig 1 . Replace tachometer if resistance is not as specified.
