Drive Belt Tensioner: Service and Repair



Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the idler pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement (Service and Repair).




3. Remove the drive belt tensioner bolts.
4. Remove the drive belt tensioner from the engine.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the drive belt tensioner to the engine.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).

2. Install the drive belt tensioner bolts.

1. Tighten the drive belt tensioner center bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
2. Tighten the drive belt tensioner outer bolts to 23 N.m (17 lb ft).

3. Install the idler pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (Service and Repair).
