Idler Pulley: Service and Repair



Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement

Removal Procedure

Important: Do not remove the belt from the air conditioning (A/C) compressor or water pump.


1. Remove the drive belt from the generator. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (Service and Repair).




2. Remove the drive belt idler pulley bolt.
3. Remove the drive belt idler pulley.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the drive belt idler pulley.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).

2. Install the drive belt idler pulley bolt.

Tighten the drive belt idler pulley bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

3. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (Service and Repair).
