Removal & Installation
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove 2 brake drum retaining bolts and remove brake drum. Install Wheel Cylinder Piston Retainer (A 72257) over wheel cylinder and remove upper and lower return springs.
- Tilt brake shoe guide pins and lift them out along with cups and springs. Disconnect brake fluid hose from wheel cylinder and plug. Rotate hub so groove in hub will allow removal of brake shoe and self-adjusting mechanism.
- Remove wheel cylinder mounting bolts and wheel cylinder. To install, reverse removal procedure. Adjust brake shoes and bleed air from brake system.
