Brake Caliper: Disassembly

  1. Remove caliper from vehicle and plug fluid line. Remove dust boot. Place a protective device between caliper housing and piston. Apply low compressed air to brake line inlet hole of caliper housing.
  2. Remove piston seal from bore of caliper. Remove bleeder screw and ensure inside of screw bore is clear from obstruction. Clean all parts in hot water and dry with compressed air.
