Rear Brake Pressure COMPENSATOR
- Loosen compensator from its mounting studs and ensure that adjusting bar is attached to the bracket on vehicle body. Bring end of bar to within 1.165-2.559" (55-65 mm) from center of buffer mounting hole. See Fig 1
.
- Raise dust boot to check contact between regulator and bar. Rotate regulator body until end of piston is in contact with end of bar. See Fig 1
.
- Tighten bolts from the bottom up. Attach torsion bar link to link pin actuator at control arm. Install spring fastener on link anchor pin to actuator. Ensure all components are tightened and road test vehicle.
