Description & Operation

The hydraulic brake system uses a tandem master cylinder. Vacuum assistance is provided by a vacuum power booster brake unit. The GV is equipped with front disc and rear drum brakes. An adjustable rear brake pressure compensator is used to regulate brake pressure between the front and rear braking circuits. The rear brakes are self-adjusting. The parking brake lever mechanically activates the rear brakes.
