Brake Test [2018-2022]
GENERAL INFORMATION
BRAKE
Set the vehicle to Inactive mode, described in user mode. Refer to: USAGE MODE
WARNING:
Do not switch on the ignition
CAUTION:
High pedal force is required.
WARNING:
Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for the correct servicing unit operating procedure.
PARKING BRAKE
The brake control module requires the following conditions fulfilled three seconds before the test begins:
- Set the vehicle to Active mode.
- Front wheel speed 0 km/h.
- Rear wheel speed 2 - 12 km/h.
NOTE:
Make sure that the selector lever is in the neutral (N) position.
There are two different ways to activate a rolling brake test:
- Automatic activation: Activate (pull and hold) the parking brake switch. Brake control module activates the parking brake until a minimum required brake force is reached. The brake force then starts to increase automatically every third seconds in four steps.
- Manual activation: Activate (pull) the parking brake switch once. The brake control module activates the parking brake until the minimum required brake force is reached. At repeated activation of the parking brake, the brake force increases in four steps.
Note! In case of error codes (DTC) it is not possible to perform the test.
Note! If the conditions for the rolling brake test are not met, the parking brake is normally activated.
