Clutch Pedal Angle Sensor CPAS (7/309) [2018]: Description
The Clutch pedal angle sensor CPAS is used to detect the position of the clutch pedal and provide the information to the Engine Control Module (ECM) and the Central Electronic Module (CEM).
The Clutch pedal angle sensor CPAS housing is mechanically attached to the arm of the clutch pedal and converts its angular motion to an electrical output.
The Clutch pedal angle sensor CPAS housing is mechanically attached to the arm of the clutch pedal and converts its angular motion to an electrical output.
- The clutch switch provides the Central Electronic Module (CEM) with a high/low signal, the change occurs at a predefined angle of the pedal. This angle is where the clutch engages/disengages.
- The clutch pedal position sensor provides the Engine Control Module (ECM) with an analogue signal proportional to the pedal depression angle.
