REMOVAL
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
Follow instructions about safety information pyrotechnical system. Refer to: SAFETY INFORMATION PYROTECHNICAL SYSTEMS
Make sure that the steering wheel lock is inactivated before disconnecting the battery.
Make sure the power seats are in the wanted position before disconnecting the battery.
Perform battery disconnecting and connecting. Refer to: BATTERY DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING
Note the position of the electrical connectors.
Make sure that the wire positions are correct.
Remove the part carefully
Use: Interior trim remover
Remove the marked part.
Remove the part carefully
Use: Interior trim remover
Disconnect the connectors.
Remove the marked part.
The number of connectors, cables and cable ties may vary depending on the vehicle specification.
Remove the cable harness clips.
Fold marked part aside.
Remove the following items:
- right-hand side panel A-pillar. Refer to: A-PILLAR TRIM PANEL
- Passenger side register. Refer to: VENT REGISTER, PASSENGER SIDE
- Temperature sensor, air duct, dash board, right. Refer to: TEMPERATURE SENSOR, AIR DUCT, DASH BOARD, RIGHT
- bluetooth antenna. Refer to: BLUETOOTH ANTENNA

Disconnect the connector.

Undo the hose from the connection.
Loosen the clip.
Remove the cable harness clips.
VEHICLES WITH AIRBORNE PARTICULATE MATTER SENSOR APMS
Disconnect the connector.
ALL VEHICLES
Remove the screws.
Torque: Dashboard, to crossmember, 3.5Nm
Remove the cable harness clips.
Remove the screw.
Torque: Dashboard, to crossmember, 3.5Nm
Remove the following items:
- left-hand side panel A-pillar. Refer to: A-PILLAR TRIM PANEL
- Driver side register. Refer to: VENT REGISTER, DRIVER SIDE
- Temperature sensor, air duct, dash board, left. Refer to: TEMPERATURE SENSOR, AIR DUCT, DASH BOARD, LEFT
- Start Button. Refer to: START BUTTON
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the marked part.
Use: Interior trim remover
Remove the part carefully
Remove the marked part.

Disconnect the connectors.
ALL VEHICLES
Remove the screws.
Remove the part carefully

Disconnect the connectors.
Remove the marked part.

Torque: Dashboard, to crossmember, 3.5Nm
Remove the screws.
Torque: Dashboard, to crossmember, 3.5Nm

Disconnect the connectors.
Remove the cable harness clips.
Remove the screws.
Remove the part carefully

Disconnect the connectors.
Remove panel steering column. Refer to: PANEL STEERING COLUMN
Disconnect the connectors.
Remove the cable harness clips.
Remove the cable harness clips.
Fold marked part aside.
Remove the screw.
Torque: steering column to steering gear (steering shaft joint), 24Nm
Remove the part carefully
Remove the screws.
Torque: Steering column to dashboard, 24Nm
ONLY VEHICLES WITH STEERING COLUMN LOCK

- Release the lock.
- Disconnect the connector.
ALL VEHICLES
Be extra careful when removing or installing this component.
Make sure that the components are positioned correctly.
Remove the marked part.
Remove the screws.
Remove the screws.
Remove the cable harness clips.
Remove the screws.
Torque: Dashboard, to crossmember, 3.5Nm
Remove the cable harness clips.
Remove the screws.
Torque: Dashboard, to crossmember, 3.5Nm
Remove the screw.
Torque: Dashboard, to crossmember, 3.5Nm
Make sure that the wiring harness does not catch.
This step requires the aid of another technician.
