Cross Member, Dash Board [2018-2022]: Removal

Remove the plenum cover. Refer to: PLENUM COVER
Remove the screw.
Torque: M8, 24Nm
Remove the dashboard. Refer to: DASHBOARD

Note the position of the electrical connectors.
Make sure that the wire positions are correct.
The number of connectors, cables and cable ties may vary depending on the vehicle specification.
Remove the cable harness clips.
Fold marked part aside.
Disconnect the connectors.
Remove the cable harness clips.
Remove the screw.
Remove the clip.
Remove the marked part.

Remove the cable harness clips.
Fold marked part aside.

Remove the cable harness clips.

Disconnect the connector.

Disconnect the connector.

Take extra care when handling supplemental restraint system (SRS) components.
Remove the screws.
Torque: Knee airbag to bracket, 6Nm
Release the catches.
Remove the part carefully
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the marked part.
Remove the screw.
Remove the part carefully
Remove the marked part.
Remove the screw.
Release the catches.
Remove the part carefully
Remove the cable harness clips.
Disconnect the connector.
Fold marked part aside.
Remove the part carefully
Fold marked part aside.
Remove the screws.
Torque: M6, 10Nm
Loosen the clips.
Remove the marked part.
Remove the screws.
Torque: Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS), to Body, 10Nm
Take extra care when handling supplemental restraint system (SRS) components.
Disconnect the connector.
Fold marked part aside.
Remove the cable harness clips.
Fold marked part aside.
Remove the screws.
Torque: Cross member, to Climate unit, 5.4Nm
Remove the marked part.
On both sides.
Loosen the clips.
Remove the marked part.
Remove the screws.
- Torque: Cross member, to Climate unit, 5.4Nm
- Torque: Cross member, to Body, 10Nm
Remove the screw.
Torque: Cross member, to Body, 10Nm
Remove the screws.
Torque: Cross member, to Climate unit, 5.4Nm
Remove the screws.
Torque: M8, 24Nm
Remove the screws.
Torque: M8, 24Nm
Make sure that the component is correctly located on the locating dowels.
Note the position of the electrical connectors.
Make sure that the wire positions are correct.
Make sure that the wiring harness does not catch.
This step requires the aid of another technician.
Remove the part carefully
