Inflatable Curtain [2017-2022]: Removal

NOTE:

Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

WARNING:

The supplemental restraint system (SRS) is active for a certain length of time after the power supply has been disconnected. Wait for a minimum of 30 seconds before disconnecting or removing any SRS components.

Follow instructions about safety information pyrotechnical system. Refer to: [SAFETY INFORMATION PYROTECHNICAL SYSTEMS]

Perform battery disconnecting and connecting. Refer to: [BATTERY DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING]

Remove the following items:

inner rear view mirror. Refer to: [INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR]
A-pillar trim panel. Refer to: [A-PILLAR TRIM PANEL]
B-pillar trim panel. Refer to: [B-PILLAR TRIM PANEL]
C-pillar trim panel. Refer to: [C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL]
Panel, D-pillar. Refer to: [PANEL, D-PILLAR]

Torque: M6, 10Nm

Remove the screws.

Remove the marked part.

Torque: Entry handle bracket, to Body, 8Nm

Disconnect connector ignition cable. Refer to: [IGNITER WIRE CONNECTOR]
