Hood Hinge Releaser [2017-2022]: Removal

NOTE:

Perform battery disconnecting and connecting. Refer to: [BATTERY DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING]

WARNING:

The supplemental restraint system (SRS) is active for a certain length of time after the power supply has been disconnected. Wait for a minimum of 30 seconds before disconnecting or removing any SRS components.

Remove the plenum cover. Refer to: [PLENUM COVER]

Remove the screw.

Remove the marked part.

Disconnect the connector.

Remove the nuts.

Remove the marked part.

Torque: Hood hinge releaser, to Bracket, 10Nm

RIGHT-HAND DRIVE VEHICLES

Remove the screws.

Fold marked part aside.

Torque: M6, 10Nm

Remove the marked part.

Disconnect the connector.
