REMOVAL
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
Follow instructions about safety information pyrotechnical system. Refer to: [SAFETY INFORMATION PYROTECHNICAL SYSTEMS]
Make sure that the steering wheel lock is inactivated before disconnecting the battery.
Make sure the power seats are in the wanted position before disconnecting the battery.
Perform battery disconnecting and connecting. Refer to: [BATTERY DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING]
Remove the following items:
- sun sensor. Refer to: [SUN SENSOR]
- Loudspeaker, dashboard. Refer to: [DASHBOARD SPEAKER]
- right-hand side panel A-pillar. Refer to: [A-PILLAR TRIM PANEL]
Detach the following items:
- bluetooth antenna. Refer to: [BLUETOOTH ANTENNA]
- Temperature sensor, air duct, dash board, right. Refer to: [TEMPERATURE SENSOR, AIR DUCT, DASH BOARD, RIGHT]
Undo the hose from the connection.
VEHICLES WITH AIRBORNE PARTICULATE MATTER SENSOR APMS
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the cable harness clips.
ALL VEHICLES
The number of connectors, cables and cable ties may vary depending on the vehicle specification.
Disconnect the connector.
Take extra care when handling supplemental restraint system (SRS) components.
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the screws.
Torque: M5, 5Nm
Remove the screw.
Torque: M5, 5Nm
VEHICLES WITH GRAPHICAL HEAD UP DISPLAY (GHUD)
Use: Interior trim remover
Remove the part carefully
Remove the marked part.
ALL VEHICLES
Remove the following items:
- Switch module, instrument panel. Refer to: [SWITCH MODULE, INSTRUMENT PANEL]
- storage box, driver's side. Refer to: [DRIVER SIDE STORAGE BOX]
- left-hand side panel A-pillar. Refer to: [A-PILLAR TRIM PANEL]
- Driver Information Module (DIM). Refer to: [DRIVER INFORMATION MODULE]
Loosen the temperature sensor, air duct, dashboard, left. Refer to: [TEMPERATURE SENSOR, AIR DUCT, DASH BOARD, LEFT]
Detach floor bracket. Refer to: [FLOOR CONSOLE]
Remove the part carefully
The number of connectors, cables and cable ties may vary depending on the vehicle specification.
Note the position of the electrical connectors.
Remove the cable harness clips.
Fold marked part aside.
The number of connectors, cables and cable ties may vary depending on the vehicle specification.
Disconnect the connectors.
Remove the cable harness clips.
Fold marked part aside.
Remove the screws.
Remove the part carefully
Remove the marked part.
The number of connectors, cables and cable ties may vary depending on the vehicle specification.
Disconnect the connectors.
Remove the screws.
Remove the part carefully
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the marked part.
Remove the screws.
Remove panel steering column. Refer to: [PANEL STEERING COLUMN]
Disconnect the connectors.
- Release the locks.
- Remove the part carefully
- Fold marked part aside.
Remove the screw.
Torque: steering column to steering gear (steering shaft joint), 24Nm
Remove the screws.
Torque: M8, 24Nm
Be extra careful when removing or installing this component.
Make sure that the components are positioned correctly.
Remove the marked part.
The number of connectors, cables and cable ties may vary depending on the vehicle specification.
Note the position of the electrical connectors.
Remove the cable harness clips.
Fold marked part aside.
The number of connectors, cables and cable ties may vary depending on the vehicle specification.
Note the position of the electrical connectors.
Fold marked part aside.
Remove the screws.
Torque: M5, 5Nm
Remove the screw.
Torque: M5, 5Nm
Remove the screws.
Torque: M5, 5Nm
VEHICLES WITH 4-ZONE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM A/C
Make sure that the component is positioned correctly.
Remove the screw.
Remove the marked part.
ALL VEHICLES
Make sure that the wiring harness does not catch.
This step requires the aid of another technician.
Remove the part carefully
Remove the marked part.
TRANSFERRING COMPONENTS
Perform dashboard, transferring components. Refer to: Dashboard, Transferring Components procedure below.

REMOVAL

Remove the part carefully
Remove the marked part.

Torque: Airbag, to Dash board, 9Nm
Remove the part carefully
Remove the marked part.
Note the routing of the lines and hoses.
Remove the screw.
Remove the marked part.
Make sure that the seal is correctly located.
Remove the marked part.
INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
INSTALLATION
Make sure that the wiring harness does not catch.
This step requires the aid of another technician.
Install the marked component.
Note the position.
