The air pressure sensor measures the pressure after the low pressure turbocharger or after the supercharger. The Engine Control Module (ECM) uses the signal for continuous feedback control of the pressure.

• For a diesel engine, the sensor is located after the low pressure turbocharger.
• For a gasoline engine, the sensor is located after the supercharger.
