Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

Battery, disconnection. Refer to: [BATTERY DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING]

Remove bushing push rod. Refer to: [BUSHING PUSH ROD]  

Remove the wiper mechanism, windscreen. Refer to: [WIPER MECHANISM, WINDSHIELD]

Remove the marked part.

1. Torque:  Strut and spring assembly bar to spring strut turret, 30Nm
2. Torque:  M6, 10Nm

ALTERNATIVE 1

Disconnect the connector.

Remove the screw.

Fold marked part aside.

Torque:  M8, 24Nm

ALTERNATIVE 2

Disconnect the connector.

Remove the screw.

Fold marked parts aside.

Torque:  M8, 24Nm

ALL VEHICLES

Loosen the nuts.

Fold marked parts aside.

Torque:  Ø6 mm diameter brake line, 14Nm

Disconnect the connector.

Fold marked part aside.

Remove the nuts.

Torque:  Master cylinder, to Brake booster, 27Nm

Remove the marked part.

Remove the part carefully

TRANSFERRING COMPONENTS

Remove the marked part.

INSTALLATION 

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Perform Battery, connecting. Refer to: [BATTERY DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING]

Perform bleeding air brake system. Refer to: [BRAKE SYSTEM BLEEDING]

Calibration according to: Diagnostics / Components / Control modules/ Central Electronic Module (CEM) / Diagnostic sequences / Calibration of brake pedal sensor and brake pedal angle sensor

Order and download the appropriate software according to: VIDA/Software/Hardware Changes
