Start and run the engine at idle for 3 minutes.

Switch off the engine.

Normally the turbocharger's rotating parts stop slightly after the engine when the engine is switched off.

If that is not the case, follow the instructions below.

Remove the inlet hose from the compressor housing.

Check that the axial clearance and the radial clearance feels normal and that the compressor wheel rotates freely.

Feeling a certain amount of clearance is normal when checking as the shaft floats on an oil film.
