Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

NOTE:

Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details. 

Drain cooling system, draining, filling, and bleeding, refer to: COOLING SYSTEM - DRAINING, CHARGING AND BLEEDING

NOTE:

Orientation view 

Remove Fuel operated auxiliary heater exhaust system, refer to: FUEL OPERATED AUXILIARY HEATER EXHAUST SYSTEM

WARNING:

Be prepared to collect escaping fluid. 

Release the locks.

Undo the hoses from the connections.

Remove the screws.

Torque:  Combustion heater bracket, to Body, 8Nm

Remove the part carefully

CAUTION:

Note the routing of the lines and hoses. 

Disconnect the connector.

Remove the marked part.

TRANSFERRING COMPONENTS 

Perform engine coolant heater, transferring components, refer to: COMBUSTION HEATER, TRANSFER OF COMPONENTS

INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

Make sure that the quick release couplings turn properly into locked position.

Install the marked component.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Fill cooling system, draining, filling, and bleeding, refer to: COOLING SYSTEM - DRAINING, CHARGING AND BLEEDING

NOTE:

This step is only necessary when installing a new component. 

Order and download the appropriate Volvo software.
