Front SUBFRAME, Service Position [2017, B4204T11 | 2018, B4204T11, TG-81SC AWD]: Removal
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
Make sure that the ignition key is removed.
Make sure that the steering column lock is engaged.
Make sure that the road wheels are in the straight ahead position.
Make sure that a new component is installed.
Torque: steering column to steering gear (steering shaft joint), 25Nm
ALTERNATIVE 1
Make sure that the tool fits.
If that is not the case, follow the instructions below.
On both sides.
WHEN NECESSARY, CARRY OUT THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTION.
ALTERNATIVE 2
Remove the screws.
Remove the marked part.
Torque: M10, 50Nm
Clean the marked area.
Note the position of the component before removal.
Mark using a pen
Remove the front wheels, refer to: WHEELS
Loosen the screws.
Torque: M6, 10Nm
Make sure that the ball joint ball does not rotate.
On both sides.
Torque: Front stabilizer bar link to stabilizer bar, 70Nm
Make sure that the ball joint ball does not rotate.
Loosen the nut.
On both sides.
Torque: Tie rod end to wheel knuckle, 80Nm
On both sides.
Remove the screw.
On both sides.
Torque: Brake caliper in steering arm, front, 120Nm
On both sides.
On both sides.
Loosen the clips.
Loosen the screws.
Loosen the screws.
Loosen the clips.

Torque:Lower torque rod rear right, to subframe,
- Stage 1: 90Nm
- Stage 2: 80°
- Torque: Lower torque rod bracket to transmission housing, 60Nm
Loosen the screws.
Torque: M6, 10Nm
Loosen the clips.
Release the connector catches.
Disconnect the connectors.
VEHICLES WITH ELECTRIC POWER STEERING PUMP
Remove casing bumper front, refer to: COVER BUMPER FRONT
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the screw.
Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
Make sure that all openings are sealed.
Use new seals.
Remove the screw.
Torque: Pressure line to steering gear, 24Nm
Remove the screws.
Torque: M6, 10Nm
Make sure that the component is suspended in a proper way.
Remove the screws.
- Torque: M8, 24Nm
- Torque: M10, 50Nm
ALL VEHICLES
- Torque: M10, 50Nm

Torque:Subframe to chassis (Rear screws),
- Stage 1: 150Nm
- Stage 2: 90°

Torque:Subframe to chassis (Front screws),
- Stage 1: 150Nm
- Stage 2: 90°
