Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

Remove the following items:

Remove the screws.

Remove the marked part.

CHECK

CAUTION:

Make sure that the component is positioned correctly.

Special Tool: 999 7613  

INSTALLATION

WARNING:

Make sure that new bolts are installed. 

Install the marked component.

Tighten the bolts.

Use hands only.

Remove the Special Tool.

Use:  Screw

Torque:  M7, 17Nm

Special Tool: 999 7432  

Place the component where indicated in the graphic.

ADJUSTMENT

Tap the balance shaft assembly in the direction of the oil pressure sensor until it reaches its end position. Clear the measurement gauge.

Use:  Plastic mallet

Use:  Magnetic stand

Use:  Dial gauge finger clock

Tap the balance shaft assembly in the direction away from the oil pressure sensor until it reaches the specified value

Leave the measurement gauge on when pulling the bolts in the next step and check that the value is not changed.

Use:  Plastic mallet

INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

Make sure that new bolts are installed. 

NOTE:

Make sure to follow the sequence indicated. 

Tighten the bolts.

Torque:Balance shaft assembly, to Cylinder block,

CHECK

CAUTION:

Repeat adjustment until clearance is evident. 

NOTE:

A certain amount of clearance must be apparent when doing this test. 

Use:  Pipe wrench

HINT: Use a 1/2 inch combined wrench for a better feel. 

INSTALLATION 

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
