Sun Roof [2016-2018]: Adjustment

ADJUSTING THE POSITION OF THE REAR EDGE OF THE GLASS

Install a shim between the rear part of the glass and the edge of the roof.

Use a plastic strip, 1.0 - 1.2 mm thick and 150 mm long.

Slacken off the 4 screws (1) for the glass.

Press the glass up or down to adjust (2).

The rear edge of the glass must be flush with the roof panel, or a maximum 1 mm above the roof panel.

Ensure that the glass is centered in the opening for the sun roof.

Tighten the 2 rear screws for the glass. See: Torque:  Glass sun roof to sun roof module (glass), 3 Nm.

ADJUSTING THE POSITION OF THE FRONT EDGE OF THE GLASS

Install a shim between the rear part of the glass and the edge of the roof.

Use a plastic strip, 1.0 - 1.2 mm thick and 150 mm long.

Press the glass up or down to adjust (1).

The glass must be flush with the roof panel at the front edge, or a maximum of 1 mm below the roof panel.

Tighten the 2 front screws (2) for the glass. See:Torque:  Glass sun roof to sun roof module (glass), 3 Nm.
