VVT Unit [2016-2020, B4204T23 | 2016-2020, B4204T27 | 2016-2020, B4204T28 | 2020, B4204T39]: Installation
- Use: Isopropanol, 1161721
- Use: Engine oil,
Only tighten the bolts finger tight at this stage.
Only tighten the nuts finger tight at this stage.
Make sure to follow the sequence indicated.
BELT TENSIONER ADJUSTMENT
The timing belt tensioner setting is dependant on the engine temperature.
Make sure that the belt tensioner is aligned to the belt tensioner bracket.
Adjust to the specified value.
Use: Allen key
Tighten the screw.
Torque: M8, 24Nm
Tighten the nuts.
Tighten the bolts.
Torque: VVT unit, center screw, 90Nm
Refer to: Special Tool: 981 4244 and Special Tool: 999 7673
Make sure that the marked component has been removed.
Make sure that the marked component has been removed.
The engine is rotated so that the belt assumes its correct position.
Turn the engine
Make sure that the belt tensioner is aligned to the belt tensioner bracket.
Adjust to the specified value.
Torque: Plug VVT unit, 5Nm
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
