Removal And Installation
REMOVAL
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
Remove relevant side rear wheel, refer to: WHEELS
VEHICLES WITH AIR SUSPENSION
Empty air springs according to: Diagnostics/ Components/ ECU / SUM / Diagnostic Sequences / Deflating and filling air springs and reservoir
ALL VEHICLES
Remove brake disc rear, refer to: REAR BRAKE DISC
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the cable harness clips.
Remove the screw.
Remove the marked part.
Torque: RPM sensor for wheel spindle, 6Nm
Remove the screws.
Remove the marked part.
Torque: M6, 10Nm
Remove the nuts.
- Torque: Rear upper control arm to wheel knuckle, 60Nm
- Torque: Rear stabilizer bar link, to Wheel knuckle, 80Nm
VEHICLES WITHOUT AIR SUSPENSION
Remove the following items:
- Torque: Rear stabilizer bar link to stabilizer bar, 80Nm
- Torque: Anti-roll bar to rear sub-frame, 35Nm
Remove the marked part.
Only use the specified special tool.
Refer to: Special Tool: 999 7560
Torque: Spring seat outer, to leafspring, 70Nm
Assemble the following items:
- Refer to: Special Tool: 951 2911
- Refer to: Special Tool: 999 7560
Remove the screws.
Torque: Rear shock absorber top mount, to Body, 60Nm
Install the marked component.
Tighten the bolts.
Torque: M10, 50Nm
Make sure that the special tool can move freely.
Place the component where indicated in the graphic.
Only tighten the nuts finger tight at this stage.
Install the nuts
Ensure that the vehicle is adapted to normal status, refer to: NORMAL POSITION
Adjust to the specified value.
ALL VEHICLES
Make sure that a new bolt is installed.
Remove the screw.
Torque:Lower control arm rear to wheel knuckle (rear mounting),
- Stage 1: 90 Nm
- Stage 2: 120 °
Make sure that new bolts are installed.
Remove the screws.

Torque:Lower control arm rear to wheel knuckle (front mounting),
- Stage 1: 140Nm
- Stage 2: 90 °
-
Torque:Track rod, to Wheel knuckle,
- Stage 1: 90Nm
- Stage 2: 90 °
Observe caution when carrying out this step.
Make sure that a new bolt is installed.
Remove the marked part.
TRANSFERRING COMPONENTS
Make sure that new bolts are installed.
Remove the screws.
Torque: Wheel bearing rear to wheel knuckle, 150Nm
INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
VEHICLES WITH AIR SUSPENSION
Only tighten the nuts and bolts when the suspension is in the normal drive position.
Ensure that the vehicle is adapted to normal status, refer to: NORMAL POSITION
Fill air springs according to: Diagnostics/ Components/ ECU / SUM / Diagnostic Sequences / Deflating and filling air springs and reservoir
