REMOVAL
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Perform battery disconnecting and connecting, refer to: BATTERY DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING
The supplemental restraint system (SRS) is active for a certain length of time after the power supply has been disconnected. Wait for a minimum of 30 seconds before disconnecting or removing any SRS components.
Orientation view
Remove the screws.
The graphic shows the back of the component before removal.
Remove the marked part.
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the screws.
Torque: Airbag to bracket, 5.5Nm
Remove the screws.
Remove the marked part.
Disconnect the connector ignition cable, refer to: IGNITER WIRE CONNECTOR
ALTERNATIVE 1
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the marked part.
INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
ALTERNATIVE 2
Disconnect the connectors.
Remove the marked part.
INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
The following steps are only necessary when installing a new component.
Orientation view
Remove the cable tie(s).
Put the tape around the cable.
Use: Tape, 1161776
Ensure that the wire or wiring harness cannot rub against adjacent components.
Position wire as illustrated.
Use: Strip clamp, 983747
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
ALTERNATIVE 3
Disconnect the connectors.
Remove the marked part.
INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
The following steps are only necessary when installing a new component.
Orientation view

Position wire as illustrated.
