REMOVAL 

Remove the headlamp, refer to: HEADLAMPS

CHECK 

VEHICLES WITH CONVENTIONAL HEADLAMPS

Remove the marked part.

Use:  Butyl tape, 1161783

Make sure that the opening is blocked.

Cut a suitable piece of paper and use it to protect the membrane from the butyl tape.

Place the component where indicated in the graphic.

Use:  Butyl tape, 1161783

Install the part with butyl tape.

Make sure that the opening is blocked.

Refer to: Special Tool: 998 5496 , Special Tool: 999 7667 , and Special Tool: 999 7618 

Adjust the pressure to maximum 40 mbar.

Close the valve and wait for 30 seconds. If the pressure does not drop below 20 mbar, the headlamp is considered to have no leaks.

INSTALLATION 

Install the headlamps, refer to: HEADLAMPS
