Vacuum Pump, Brake Booster [2014-2015, B4204T10 | 2014-2016, B4204T9]: Removal
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
Remove the screws.
Torque: Lower torque rod bracket to transmission housing, 60Nm
Disassemble the following items:
- Torque: Lower torque rod rear right, to Engine mount bracket, 110Nm
- Torque:
Lower torque rod rear right, to subframe
- Stage 1: 90 Nm
- Stage 2: 80 °
Torque: M10, 50Nm
Remove the upper torque rod, refer to: UPPER TORQUE ROD
Remove the screw.
Torque: M6, 10Nm
Detach the following items:
- Torque: M12, 80Nm
- Torque:
Bracket engine mounting to cylinder head
- Stage 1: 90 Nm
- Stage 2: 120°
- Torque: Bracket to cylinder head, stud bolt, 60Nm
Lower the engine.
Loosen the hose clamp.
Remove the hose.
Release the lock.
Remove the hose.
Loosen the hose clamps.
Remove the hose.
Remove the screws.
Torque: M6, 10Nm
Loosen the hose clamp.
Remove the hose.
Remove the fuel pump, refer to: FUEL PUMP
Remove the screw.
Torque: M6, 10Nm
Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
Make sure that the area around the component is clean and free of foreign material.
This component is sensitive to "mechanical stresses". If the component has been dropped onto the floor, for example, it must not be installed in a vehicle.
Remove the screws.
Torque: M8, 24Nm
Make sure that a new component is installed.
Use lint free cloth.
Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
