Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information SRS-0238

Condition

The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the switch for the passenger airbag.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers a faulty status signal.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II and III.

Substitute Value 

• Passenger airbag is deactivated.

Possible Source 

• Fault in the switch for the passenger airbag
• Internal fault in the supplemental restraint system module (SRS).

Fault symptom[s] 

• The SRS indicator lamp is lit
• PAD lamp lit.
