Replacing The Component

CAUTION:

Do not touch the terminal pins in the supplemental restraint system module (SRS). There is a risk of static discharge. This could damage the supplemental restraint system module (SRS).

Switch off the ignition. Wait 10 seconds
Replace the switch for the passenger airbag.
Check the status of the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Switch on the ignition. Wait 10 seconds
- Read off using the VCT2000 (or appropriate scan tool).
Read off the status of the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) using the VCT2000 (or appropriate scan tool).

The fault has been remedied if the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is intermittent.

If the fault is still permanent, replace the supplemental restraint system module (SRS).

Remedy as necessary.
