Checking Components And Wiring
- Ignition off
- Disconnect the connector from the front left front impact sensor.
Check the signal cable between the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) terminal #19B (47) and the front impact sensor #2. Check for an open-circuit
Check the signal cable between the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) terminal #18B (46) and the front impact sensor #1. Check for an open-circuit.
Check the resistance between the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) terminal #19B (47) and the front impact sensor #1. The resistance should be infinite.
Check the resistance between the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) terminal #18B (46) and the front impact sensor #2. The resistance should be infinite.
HINT: If repairs have been carried out on the wiring, these signal cables may have been reversed. Check that connections between the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) and the front impact sensor are correct.
