Condition 

No diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are stored.

Possible Source 

• Defective high level stop (brake) lamp.
• Open-circuit.
• Short-circuit to ground in the cable.
• Short-circuit to supply voltage in the cable.

Fault symptom[s] 

The stop (brake) lamp does not light when the brake pedal is depressed.

The stop (brake) lamp lights constantly.
